Mrs. Sweet's Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup shortening
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 cup cream
• 1 teaspoon lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 5 cups flour

Recipe

• 1 cream the sugar, shortening and eggs.
• 2 add shortening, salt, soda, baking powder, cream, lemon juice and vanilla – mix.
• 3 add flour gradually.
• 4 roll out on floured table and cut with cookie cutters.
• 5 bake 375°f until brown (8 – 10 min depending on the size and thickness of the cookies).
