Italian Christmas Cookies

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 96
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup sugar substitute
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 teaspoons baking powder
  • 6 cups whole wheat flour

Recipe

  • 1 mix together all liquid ingredients with mixer and then add flour until you get a dough (similar to a bread dough but not as dry).
  • 2 cut dough in four pieces.
  • 3 cut a slice approximately 1/2 inch and roll out. you can either twist into a braid or a circle (what ever shape you wish).
  • 4 bake @ 325 degrees for approximately 20 minutes (until slightly brown).
  • 5 glaze (optional) confectionary sugar, milk and vanilla (mix until you get a slightly stiff glaze and then apply to cookies).
