Holiday Eggnog Cookies

Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup eggnog
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 300°.
- 2 mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.
- 3 mix well with a whisk; set aside for now.
- 4 cream the sugar and butter until the mixture forms like a grainy paste.
- 5 add in the eggnog, vanilla extract and egg yolks.
- 6 beat on medium speed until smooth.
- 7 add the flour mixture and beat at low speed until combined, but do not over mix.
- 8 drop rounded teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
- 9 lightly sprinkle with nutmeg.
- 10 bake 23-25 minutes or until bottoms are light brown.
- 11 let cool completely.
