Low-cal Molasses Cookies

Total Time: 42 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup sugar, plus
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, divided
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Recipe

  • 1 beat oil, molasses, 1/4 cup sugar and egg.
  • 2 combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in another bowl; add to molasses mixture and mix well.
  • 3 cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • 4 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 5 shape into 1 inch balls; roll in remaining sugar. place on ungreased baking sheets.
  • 6 bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set and surface cracks.
  • 7 remove from pan and cool thoroughly on wire racks.
