Our Favorite Brownies

Ingredients
- 140 g unsalted butter
- 200 g unsweetened semisweet baking chocolate
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 large egg yolk
- 85 g all-purpose flour
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 butter and flour an 18 cm cake tin.
- 3 melt the chocolate with the butter in a glass bowl over a pan of simmering water.
- 4 mix well, and allow to cool slightly.
- 5 blend flour, sugar and salt well.
- 6 add the cooled chocolate mixture to the flour, fully incorporating.
- 7 whisk in the eggs and the yolk one at a time.
- 8 beat for about a minute until thickened and smooth.
- 9 bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted is moist with crumbs.
