Patti's Peanut Blossom Cookies

Ingredients

• Servings: 48
• 1 3/4 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1 egg
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 24 milk chocolate kisses, unwrapped
• 24 dark chocolate kisses, unwrapped
• 2 tablespoons sugar

Recipe

• 1 pre heat oven to 375 degrees.
• 2 combine all ingredients except kisses & 2 tbs sugar, in a large mixing bowl.
• 3 mix on low speed until dough forms.
• 4 shape dough into 48 balls.
• 5 roll balls in sugar.
• 6 place on ungreased cookie sheet.
• 7 bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
• 8 immediately out of oven insert candy in center of cookie until cookies crack around edges.
