Pecan Pie Brownies

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 (21 1/2 ounce) pakage deluxe fudge brownie mix (pillsbury suggested)
  • 1/2 cup very hot water
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f. grease bottom only of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • 2 in a medium saucepan, melt the butter; stir in flour until smooth. add brown sugar add 2 eggs; mix well. cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. remove from heat; stir in vanilla and pecans. set aside.
  • 3 in a large bowl, combine brownie ingredients; beat 50 strokes with a spoon. spread in prepared pan. spoon fillling evenly over top. bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until set. *do not overbake.* cool completely. cut into 24 bars.
