Low-fat Brownies

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 60 g dark chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons prune puree
  • 3/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 50 g cashews (chopped)

Recipe

  • 1 in a small pot over low heat, stir dark chocolate and unsalted butter until melted and let it cool.
  • 2 puree 1/2 cup of pitted prune by adding 3 tbsps of water.
  • 3 sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and sea salt together.
  • 4 beat egg, egg , sugar and vanilla on low speed until the mixture is thick and creamy.
  • 5 stir in melted chocolate and prune puree.
  • 6 stir in dry ingredients and chopped cashews.
  • 7 pour the mixture in a 20 cm baking tray lined with baking paper.
  • 8 bake in a preheated oven at 150ºc for 15-20 minutes.
  • 9 let it cool and serve.
