Golden Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold (or margarine)
- 1 cup peanuts, chopped (i just pour some in my food processor and chop until fine)
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f
- 2 combine flour, brown sugar and egg; cut in butter until crumbly. stir in peanuts. reserving 2 cups crumb mixture, press remaining mixture on bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan. bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
- 3 in large bowl, with mixer, beat condensed milk with peanut butter and vanilla. spread over prepared crust; top with reserved crumb mixture.
- 4 bake 25 minutes longer or until lightly browned. cool. cut into bars. store leftovers covered at room temperature.
