No-bake Banana Peanut Butter Fudge Bars

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 2/3 cup butter or 2/3 cup margarine
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Recipe

  • 1 finely chopped banana (1-1/4 cups).
  • 2 melt butter in large skillet over medium heat; stir in vanilla.
  • 3 add oats and brown sugar.
  • 4 heat and stir 5 minutes.
  • 5 set aside 3/4 cup oat mixture.
  • 6 press remaining oat mixture into greased 9-inch square baking pan.
  • 7 sprinkle banana over crust.
  • 8 melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together over low heat.
  • 9 pour and spread over banana.
  • 10 sprinkle with reserved oat mixture; press down lightly.
  • 11 chill 2 hours before cutting.
  • 12 store in refrigerator.
