Light Chocolate Almond Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup hershey's low-fat cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chipits milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup slivered almonds
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 cream shortening, sugars, eggs, milk and vanilla in a large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until creamy, about 1 minute.
- 3 combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. add to creamed mixture. beat at low speed until blended.
- 4 stir in chips and nuts.
- 5 drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheet.
- 6 bake at 350f for 10-12 minutes. cool slightly. remove to cooling rack.
