Rachel's Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • Servings: 36
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 36 milk chocolate kisses

Recipe

  • 1 preheat your oven to 375°f.
  • 2 cream the butter, and peanut butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
  • 3 beat in the sugars until all the way combined. beat in the egg and vanilla.
  • 4 stir in the flour, baking powder, and the baking soda in a small bowl. add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture and beat on low until just combined. shape the dough into 1-inch balls and put them on 2 large baking sheets (ungreased) leaving 2 inches between them. bake until the edges of cookies are set and just brown, about 10 minutes.
  • 5 remove the baking sheets from the oven. immediately press one chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie, let cool.
