Rachel's Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 36 milk chocolate kisses
Recipe
- 1 preheat your oven to 375°f.
- 2 cream the butter, and peanut butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
- 3 beat in the sugars until all the way combined. beat in the egg and vanilla.
- 4 stir in the flour, baking powder, and the baking soda in a small bowl. add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture and beat on low until just combined. shape the dough into 1-inch balls and put them on 2 large baking sheets (ungreased) leaving 2 inches between them. bake until the edges of cookies are set and just brown, about 10 minutes.
- 5 remove the baking sheets from the oven. immediately press one chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie, let cool.
