Ingredients

- 3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, to taste
- 1 cup raisins, washed
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 300°f.
- 2 cream together butter and sugar, then add molasses and egg. mix well.
- 3 in a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients, then add to creamed mixture. blend well.
- 4 stir in raisins.
- 5 roll dough into 1 inch balls, then roll in sugar.
- 6 place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
