Persimmon Brownies

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups persimmon pulp
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and sugar together; add persimmon pulp, buttermilk and eggs.
  • 2 then add dry ingredients and mix well.
  • 3 pour into 10x12 baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • 4 top with icing when cooled.
  • 5 to prepare icing: cream butter and cream cheese together; add vanilla, cream and then add powdered sugar.
  • 6 spread on brownies, sprinkle with pecans.
