Frosted Maple Spice Drops

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 36 pecan halves
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 350°f
- 2 combine brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter in large bowl. beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
- 3 add egg, milk and 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring; continue beating until well mixed.
- 4 reduce speed to low; add all remaining cookie ingredients. beat until well mixed.
- 5 drop dough by level teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until set.
- 6 transfer to wire rack. cool completely.
- 7 combine cream cheese and 2 tablespoons butter in small bowl. beat at medium speed until creamy.
- 8 reduce speed to low; add all remaining frosting ingredients except pecans. continue beating until smooth and creamy.
- 9 spread 1 teaspoon frosting on each cookie; top with pecan half.
