Frosted Maple Spice Drops

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 36 pecan halves

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350°f
  • 2 combine brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter in large bowl. beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  • 3 add egg, milk and 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring; continue beating until well mixed.
  • 4 reduce speed to low; add all remaining cookie ingredients. beat until well mixed.
  • 5 drop dough by level teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until set.
  • 6 transfer to wire rack. cool completely.
  • 7 combine cream cheese and 2 tablespoons butter in small bowl. beat at medium speed until creamy.
  • 8 reduce speed to low; add all remaining frosting ingredients except pecans. continue beating until smooth and creamy.
  • 9 spread 1 teaspoon frosting on each cookie; top with pecan half.
