Oatmeal Shortbread

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, no substitutes
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup flour
Recipe
- 1 cream butter and sugar, add vanilla and beat until fluffy.
- 2 blend flour, baking soda, and rolled oats and then add to butter mixture.
- 3 mix well.
- 4 chill dough for 1 hour.
- 5 roll dough into balls and flatten with a fork.
- 6 bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 dgrees for 13 to 15 minutes until lightly browned.
