Oatmeal Shortbread

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, no substitutes
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup flour

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and sugar, add vanilla and beat until fluffy.
  • 2 blend flour, baking soda, and rolled oats and then add to butter mixture.
  • 3 mix well.
  • 4 chill dough for 1 hour.
  • 5 roll dough into balls and flatten with a fork.
  • 6 bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 dgrees for 13 to 15 minutes until lightly browned.
