Ingredients

- 2/3 cup butter
- 3/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- confectioners' sugar
- pecan halves, toasted (optional)
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a large saucepan. whisk in cocoa and oil until smooth. cook and stir over low heat until cocoa is blender. remove from the heat; stir in sugar. add eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition. stir in vanilla.
- 2 combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to cocoa mixture. stir in chocolate chips and nuts. spread into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
- 3 bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. cool. dust with confectioners' sugar. garnish with pecan halves if desired.
