Ginger And Cinnamon Spice Cookies (spritz/cookie Press Style)

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 230 g butter, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, measure firmly packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups flour, sifted (plain all-purpose flour)
  • 1 tablespoon water

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 170°c
  • 2 beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • 3 add egg, spices, salt and water- mix well.
  • 4 gentley mix in the flour with a spoon.
  • 5 pack dough into cookie press- as per instructions for your press.
  • 6 press onto cookie trays- spacing about 2 cm apart.
  • 7 bake 12-15 minutes, or until firm to touch.
  • 8 gentley transfer to a wire rack to cool.
  • 9 decorate as desired or eat plain.
  • 10 store in an airtight container.
