Grandma's Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
- 250 g soft butter
- 2 cups caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 kg flour
Recipe
- 1 cream butter and sugar.
- 2 add eggs and beat again till creamy.
- 3 add sour cream, vanilla and bicarb.
- 4 beat again till smooth and creamy.
- 5 add flour, stir it in by hand till a soft dough forms.
- 6 dust work surface with extra flour, roll dough out to 1/2 a centimeter thick.
- 7 cut into shapes.
- 8 bake at 175 c for 15 - 20 monutes till lightly browned, longer if you want them crisp.
- 9 sprinkle with plain or coloured sugar before baking or ice and decorate after baking.
