Honey Pecan Snaps

Total Time: 28 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 13 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • additional sugar

Recipe

  • 1 in a mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy.
  • 2 add honey, eggs and lemon juice; beat well.
  • 3 combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture.
  • 4 fold in pecans.
  • 5 shape into 1-inch balls; roll in sugar.
  • 6 place on un-greased baking sheets.
  • 7 bake at 350 degrees for 12-13 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 8 cool 2 minutes; remove to wire racks.
