Molasses Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup bacon fat
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 cup dark molasses
- 5 1/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- powdered sugar
- water
Recipe
- 1 cream together bacon fat and sugar.
- 2 add hot water, molasses, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
- 3 stir flour in 1 cup at a time until all is thoroughly blended.
- 4 chill dough at least 1 hour.
- 5 flour rolling surface.
- 6 roll chilled dough to 1/2" thick.
- 7 cut with large round cookie cutter or juice glass.
- 8 grease foil-covered cookie sheets.
- 9 bake at 275 for 10 minutes.
- 10 mix powdered sugar with small amount of water until spreading consistency is reached.
- 11 frost cookies with glaze.
