Peanut Butter-coconut-raisin Granola Bars

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup bran flakes
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons margarine or 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 spray a 9-inch square pan with vegetable spray.
  • 3 put rolled oats, raisins, bran flakes, coconut, chocolate chips, pecans, and baking soda in bowl.
  • 4 combine until well mixed.
  • 5 in small saucepan, whisk together peanut butter, brown sugar, margarine, honey and vanilla over medium heat for approximately 30 seconds or just until sugar dissolves and mixture is smooth.
  • 6 pour over dry ingredients and stir to combine.
  • 7 press into prepared pan and bake for 15-20 minutes or until browned.
  • 8 let cool completely before cutting into bars.
