Peanut Kiss Blossoms

Ingredients

- 8 ounces hershey chocolate kisses, unwrapped
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
- 2 beat shortening and peanut butter till well blended.
- 3 add *1/2* of the sugar and all of the brown sugar. beat until light and fluffy.
- 4 add egg, milk and vanilla. beat.
- 5 in a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. gradually add to the peanut butter mix, blending well.
- 6 shape the dough into one inch balls and roll each one in the last third of sugar.
- 7 place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
- 8 bake 8 to 10 minutes, immediately pressing a kiss into each center as soon as the cookies are finished in the oven.
