Pecan Brownies

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 200 g unsalted butter
  • 2 cups caster sugar
  • 1 cup baking cocoa
  • 125 g pecan nuts
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup plain flour (all purpose)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 125 g chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 160°c.
  • 2 spray a large slice tin (would suggest a 9" x 13") with oil and then line with parchment/baking paper and spray again.
  • 3 melt the butter and allow to cool,.
  • 4 stir in the sugar and cocoa until combined.
  • 5 fold through the chocolate chips and pecan nuts.
  • 6 stir in the flour and baking powder until combined.
  • 7 add the eggs one by one and stir until combined.
  • 8 pour the mixture into prepared tin and place in the oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, should be firm to the touch.
