Mini Chip Butter Crisps

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups butter, softened (no substitutions)
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2 in a medium bowl, combine flour and salt.
  • 3 in a large mixing bowl, cream butter until light and fluffy.
  • 4 gradually beat in sugar and vanilla.
  • 5 gradually add the dry ingredients and blend until smooth.
  • 6 stir in chocolate chips.
  • 7 shape dough into 1 inch balls.
  • 8 place 12 at a time, on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • 9 flatten out to circles about 2 inches in diameter with the bottom of a glass dipped in flour.
  • 10 bake 10 minutes, or until desired crispness.
  • 11 remove from baking sheets, let cool on wire racks.
