Mississippi Mud Brownies

Total Time: 1 hr 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 1 (21 ounce) package duncan hines family style chewy fudge brownie mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow cream
  • 1 1/4 cups duncan hines creamy home-style milk chocolate frosting
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 °f.
  • 2 grease bottom of 13x9-inch pan.
  • 3 combine brownie mix, eggs, water and oil in large bowl.
  • 4 stir with spoon until well blended, about 50 strokes.
  • 5 spread in pan.
  • 6 bake at 350 °f for 27 to 30 minutes or until set.
  • 7 spread marshmallow cream gently over hot brownies.
  • 8 place frosting in microwave-safe bowl.
  • 9 microwave on high power for 15 to 30 seconds.
  • 10 stir until smooth.
  • 11 pour frosing over marshmallow cream.
  • 12 swirl with knife to marbleize.
  • 13 you can either cook the pecans in the brownies or sprinkle them on top.
  • 14 cool completely.
  • 15 cut into bars.
  • 16 makes 20 to 24 brownies.
