Grandma Boff's Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 cups sugar
• 1 cup shortening
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 4 cups flour (divided)
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

• 1 with a mixer, combine sugar, shortening, and eggs.
• 2 add buttermilk and baking soda.
• 3 add 2 c flour, baking powder, and vanilla.
• 4 add another 2 c flour with spoon.
• 5 roll out on a floured surface and cut into shapes.
• 6 bake at 400 degrees on greased cookie sheet for about 10 minutes.
