Oat Bran Biscuits (cookies)

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 60 g butter
  • 1/3 cup golden syrup
  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup oat bran
  • 1 cup plain whole meal flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup low-fat milk

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter & golden syrup together over a low heat.
  • 2 combine oats, oatbran, flour & sugar in a mixing bowl, stir in butter mixture & milk and mix to form a soft dough.
  • 3 knead lightly on a floured surface then roll out dough to 3mm thickness.
  • 4 cut out biscuits using a 6cm round cutter.
  • 5 place on a non-stick or baking paper lined tray and prick well with a fork.
  • 6 bake at 180.c for 10-15 minutes.
  • 7 if desired, spread cooled biscuits with your favourite icing & sandwich together.
