Oat Bran Biscuits (cookies)

Ingredients
- 60 g butter
- 1/3 cup golden syrup
- 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup oat bran
- 1 cup plain whole meal flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup low-fat milk
Recipe
- 1 melt butter & golden syrup together over a low heat.
- 2 combine oats, oatbran, flour & sugar in a mixing bowl, stir in butter mixture & milk and mix to form a soft dough.
- 3 knead lightly on a floured surface then roll out dough to 3mm thickness.
- 4 cut out biscuits using a 6cm round cutter.
- 5 place on a non-stick or baking paper lined tray and prick well with a fork.
- 6 bake at 180.c for 10-15 minutes.
- 7 if desired, spread cooled biscuits with your favourite icing & sandwich together.
