Oat Bran Biscuits

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 150 g all-purpose flour
  • 60 g natural bran, unprocessed
  • 60 g rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 60 g butter, chopped
  • 110 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water, approximately

Recipe

  • 1 process flour, bran, oats ,soda and butter until crumbly.
  • 2 add sugar, egg and enough of the water to make a firm dough.
  • 3 knead dough on lightly floured surface until smooth; cover, refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • 4 preheat oven to moderate (180 d. celcius). grease oven trays and line with baking paper.
  • 5 divide dough into half; roll each half between sheets of baking paper to about 5mm thickness. cut into rounds and place 2cm apart on tray.
  • 6 bake for 15 minutes. stand biscuits on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to the wire rack to cool.
