Oat Bran Biscuits

Ingredients
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 60 g natural bran, unprocessed
- 60 g rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 60 g butter, chopped
- 110 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons water, approximately
Recipe
- 1 process flour, bran, oats ,soda and butter until crumbly.
- 2 add sugar, egg and enough of the water to make a firm dough.
- 3 knead dough on lightly floured surface until smooth; cover, refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- 4 preheat oven to moderate (180 d. celcius). grease oven trays and line with baking paper.
- 5 divide dough into half; roll each half between sheets of baking paper to about 5mm thickness. cut into rounds and place 2cm apart on tray.
- 6 bake for 15 minutes. stand biscuits on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to the wire rack to cool.
