Opposite Mirror-image Brownies

Total Time: 46 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 16 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 brownie layer: preheat oven to 350*f.
  • 2 melt the chocolate chips over low heat; cool slightly.
  • 3 in a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until well combined.
  • 4 add the eggs and vanilla; blend well.
  • 5 stir in the melted chocolate.
  • 6 combine the flour and baking soda; add to chocolate mixture just until combined.
  • 7 gently stir in the chocolate chips.
  • 8 spread batter in a greased 13x9" baking pan; bake for 16-22 minutes, or until a toothpick tests out clean.
  • 9 cool on a wire rack.
  • 10 cookie dough layer: in a clean bowl, cream together the butter and both sugars until well combined.
  • 11 blend in the milk and vanilla; gradually add the flour.
  • 12 gently stir in the chocolate chips.
  • 13 drop by tbsp.
  • 14 over the cooled brownie layer; carefully spread over the top.
  • 15 cut into squares; store, covered, in the refrigerator.
