Opposite Mirror-image Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 brownie layer: preheat oven to 350*f.
- 2 melt the chocolate chips over low heat; cool slightly.
- 3 in a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until well combined.
- 4 add the eggs and vanilla; blend well.
- 5 stir in the melted chocolate.
- 6 combine the flour and baking soda; add to chocolate mixture just until combined.
- 7 gently stir in the chocolate chips.
- 8 spread batter in a greased 13x9" baking pan; bake for 16-22 minutes, or until a toothpick tests out clean.
- 9 cool on a wire rack.
- 10 cookie dough layer: in a clean bowl, cream together the butter and both sugars until well combined.
- 11 blend in the milk and vanilla; gradually add the flour.
- 12 gently stir in the chocolate chips.
- 13 drop by tbsp.
- 14 over the cooled brownie layer; carefully spread over the top.
- 15 cut into squares; store, covered, in the refrigerator.
