- 2 (18 ounce) boxes devil's food cake mix
- 1 1/3 cups shortening or 1 1/3 cups butter
- 4 eggs
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

- 1 preheat oven to 375. mix all together. roll into 1 inch balls. bake for 8 minutes or until hard. mix together filling ingredients. spread filling on underneath side of one cookie, then top with another cookie.
