Italian Soft Dead Man's Bones

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 (1 lb) boxes powdered sugar
  • 1 (1 lb) box flour (use sugar box to measure)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 eggs

Recipe

  • 1 make hole in flour in a large bowl.
  • 2 add baking powder and cinnamon to flour.
  • 3 add powdered sugar.
  • 4 beat eggs; put in flour.
  • 5 add a little water at a time, not too much water or the dough will be sticky.
  • 6 roll in large balls, then roll into long 'bones'.
  • 7 cut bones into 1 inch pieces in length.
  • 8 put onto cookie sheets (covered with parchment paper) overnight.
  • 9 in morning, separate about 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
  • 10 bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes.
