Malted Milk Ball (whoppers) Cookies

Total Time: 2 hrs Preparation Time: 1 hr 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup malt drink powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/4 cups chocolate covered malted milk balls, chopped (whoppers)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f (180°c).
  • 2 in a bowl, mix together the flour, salt and baking soda.
  • 3 in a separate bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, sugar and malt powder until light and fluffy.
  • 4 add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  • 5 gradually mix in the flour mixture and mix until just combined.
  • 6 stir in the chopped candy.
  • 7 chill in refrigerator 1 hour.
  • 8 drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • 9 bake for 9-10 minutes - the tops won't look completely set.
  • 10 let stand on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes then remove to wire rack to completely cool.
