Pecan And Choc-bit Brownies

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 100 g butter, chopped
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup caster sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecan nuts

Recipe

  • 1 preheat your oven to 180*c. lightly grease an 18cm x 28cm slice pan. line the base with baking paper.
  • 2 combine chocolate and butter in a small saucepan. stir over low heat for 2-3 minutes, until melted. set aside.
  • 3 in a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla together until frothy. sift flour and baking powder together. whisk into egg mixture to combine.
  • 4 fold in the choc bits, pecans and chocolate mixture. pour into prepared pan, smoothing top with a spatula.
  • 5 bake for 30-35 minutes or until firm to touch. cool in the pan. cut into squares and store in an airtight container.
