Red-hot Brownies

Ingredients
- 4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup ferrara pan red cinnamon candies
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 lightly grease a 9 x 13 pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- 3 melt the baking chocolate with the butter over a double boiler or in microwave-stirring occasionally; set aside.
- 4 sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a small bowl.
- 5 pour the cooled chocolate into a large bowl and gradually add the sugar. next, beat eggs and vanilla into the chocolate/sugar mix.
- 6 fold the flour mix into the chocolae mix, then fold in chocolate chips and 2/3 of the red hots.
- 7 pour batter into pan and spread evenly; sprinkle leftover red hots on top.
- 8 bake 30 minutes or until the toothpick tells you it's done!
- 9 cool one hour then cut into squares and induldge!
