Red-hot Brownies

Total Time: 47 mins Preparation Time: 17 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup ferrara pan red cinnamon candies

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 lightly grease a 9 x 13 pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  • 3 melt the baking chocolate with the butter over a double boiler or in microwave-stirring occasionally; set aside.
  • 4 sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a small bowl.
  • 5 pour the cooled chocolate into a large bowl and gradually add the sugar. next, beat eggs and vanilla into the chocolate/sugar mix.
  • 6 fold the flour mix into the chocolae mix, then fold in chocolate chips and 2/3 of the red hots.
  • 7 pour batter into pan and spread evenly; sprinkle leftover red hots on top.
  • 8 bake 30 minutes or until the toothpick tells you it's done!
  • 9 cool one hour then cut into squares and induldge!
