Maple Cream Brownie Dessert

Total Time: 2 hrs Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (19 7/8 ounce) package betty crocker fudge brownie mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 2 cups frozen whipped topping (thawed)
  • 2 teaspoons maple extract

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350ºf.
  • 2 grease bottom only of rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, with shortening.
  • 3 make brownie mix as directed on package, using water, oil and eggs and adding 1 teaspoon maple extract.
  • 4 spread batter in pan.
  • 5 bake as directed.
  • 6 cool completely in pan on wire rack, about 1 hour.
  • 7 meanwhile, mix all maple cream frosting ingredients until well blended; refrigerate.
  • 8 spread frosting over cooled brownies.
  • 9 cover and refrigerate until serving.
  • 10 cut dessert into 4 rows by 3 rows.
  • 11 sprinkle each serving with chopped candy, if desired; drizzle with syrup.
  • 12 store covered in refrigerator.
