Marbled Cinnamon Marzipan Brownies

Ingredients

  • Servings: 48
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 (8 ounce) package almond paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350°f spray 13x9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray. melt butter in medium saucepan over low heat. add chocolate; cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes or until melted. remove from heat. stir in sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and vanilla. add 4 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. add flour; mix until smooth. spread batter evenly in pan.
  • 2 crumble almond paste into food processor. process until finely chopped. add 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and 1 egg; process until completely smooth. drop almond mixture by small spoonfuls onto brownie batter. swirl with knife.
  • 3 bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean. cool on wire rack.
