Favorite Gingersnaps

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 cups plain flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon clove
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar (for dipping)
Recipe
- 1 cream shortening and sugar.
- 2 add molasses and egg, beat well.
- 3 add sifted dry ingredients and mix.
- 4 roll into marble size balls and dip in sugar.
- 5 place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
- 6 bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
