Favorite Gingersnaps

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon clove
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar (for dipping)

Recipe

  • 1 cream shortening and sugar.
  • 2 add molasses and egg, beat well.
  • 3 add sifted dry ingredients and mix.
  • 4 roll into marble size balls and dip in sugar.
  • 5 place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
  • 6 bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
