Holland Butter Bars

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seed

Recipe

  • 1 mix butter, sugar, and flour throughly and press into a 9x13-inch pan 1/2-inch thick.
  • 2 sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  • 3 bake in a slow oven (250-275°f) until light brown, about an hour.
  • 4 cut, while still warm, into small bars.
