Jam Jams

Ingredients
- 1 cup margarine (you can use butter, i always do)
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in
- 3 tablespoons hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour (or more as needed to make a stiff dough for rolling)
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
Recipe
- 1 cream together margarine and brown sugar. beat in egg, molasses until fluffy.
- 2 add soda with water, salt and vanilla.
- 3 stir in eough flour to make a stiff dough for rolling.
- 4 roll out 1/8th inch thick and cut into circles. (about 1 1/2 inches across).
- 5 bake at 350*f for 8 to 10 minutes.
- 6 cool on wire racks.
- 7 when cool put together in pairs with jam in the middle.
