Fruit Seed Slice

Ingredients
- 50 g butter
- 1/2 cup raw sugar
- 1/4 cup golden syrup
- 3/4 cup pepitas
- 3/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 weet-bix, crushed
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup self-raising flour
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries or 1/2 cup dates or 1/2 cup dried apricot
Recipe
- 1 pre-heat oven to 170.c/150.c fan forced. line a 20cm square pan with baking paper, letting 2 ends overhang for handles.
- 2 place butter,sugar and syrup in a medium saucepan,stir over moderate heat until sugar dissolves.
- 3 cool for 5 mins, add seeds, cereals, flour & fruit, mix well until ingredients are well-coated & combined.
- 4 press mixture evenly into prepared pan.
- 5 bake for 25 mins, until set & golden. cool completely in pan, lift layer onto a cutting board & cut into slices.
- 6 wrap individually in baking paper then plastic wrap, store airtight.
