Ingredients
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 cup butter or 1 cup lard, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 put molasses and ginger in a bowl, add melted butter and sugar, then egg and warm water; sift flour and baking soda and salt; work it into the other ingredients.
- 2 roll out to 1/4 inch thick, and cut in rounds.
- 3 place on parchment lined baking sheets.
- 4 bake at 350f for 15 minutes.
