Gingersnaps

Total Time: 18 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup crisco
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 cream the shortening and sugar together until fluffy; beat in egg.
  • 3 sift the dry ingredients together.
  • 4 add the dry ingredients to the batter and mix well.
  • 5 refrigerate dough 1 hour before rolling into 1 inch balls.
  • 6 roll balls in sugar before baking.
  • 7 bake 8-10 minutes on an ungreased baking sheet.
