Healthy Cookies

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 30
  • 150 g margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup raisins

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter (or sub) with sugar until light and smooth.
  • 2 add egg (or sub) and vanilla; beat until smooth.
  • 3 sift flour and baking powder into mix and stir lightly.
  • 4 add in oats, macadamia nuts, almonds, cherries, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and raisins; mix until firm.
  • 5 roll tablespoon sized amounts into balls and place on baking tray (they do grow).
  • 6 flatten the balls with a fork (if fork sticks to cookies, dip fork in flour).
  • 7 bake cookies for 25 minutes.
