Macadamia Nut Brownies

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sweet unsalted butter
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts, baking pieces or 1 cup crushed macadamia nuts

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350. grease and flour a 9x7 pan.
  • 2 in a small bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda, set aside.
  • 3 on a low heat setting melt butter completely, then add cocoa. when combined and has a smooth texture remove from heat.
  • 4 in a large bowl combine sugar, eggs and vanilla, then add the cocoa and butter mixture. mix until smooth.
  • 5 sift the flour, salt and baking soda slowly into the batter, beat until smooth.
  • 6 add macadamia nuts if desired.
  • 7 pour into pan and bake immediately.
  • 8 bake for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean.
