Holiday Eggnog Cookies

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 300°.
  • 2 mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.
  • 3 mix well with a whisk; set aside for now.
  • 4 cream the sugar and butter until the mixture forms like a grainy paste.
  • 5 add in the eggnog, vanilla extract and egg yolks.
  • 6 beat on medium speed until smooth.
  • 7 add the flour mixture and beat at low speed until combined, but do not over mix.
  • 8 drop rounded teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • 9 lightly sprinkle with nutmeg.
  • 10 bake 23-25 minutes or until bottoms are light brown.
  • 11 let cool completely.
