Jon Vie Pecan Brownies

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 30
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 6 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Recipe

  • 1 in large mixing bowl with a wooden spoon mix together the sugars corn syrup and butter ( i used mixer ).
  • 2 stir in eggs
  • 3 one at time
  • 4 until absorbed
  • 5 melt chocolate over hot not boiling water
  • 6 and stir into sugar mixture until combined
  • 7 stir flour to aerate
  • 8 stir in flour until just combined
  • 9 stir in pecans reserving 1/2 cup for top
  • 10 butter jelly roll pan
  • 11 turn onto jelly roll pan and spread evenly sprinkle with pecans.
  • 12 bake in preheated oven 350 degrees until cake tester comes out clean 20 minutes check at 15 minutes
  • 13 cut into bars making 6 evenly spaced cuts on 15 inch side and 5 on 10 inch side.
