Gingernut Biscuits

Total Time: 18 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 ounces butter
  • 3 ounces golden syrup (warmed)
  • 3 ounces brown sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325°f
  • 2 sift the flour, salt, baking soda, spices, and baking powder together.
  • 3 rub in the butter.
  • 4 stir in the brown sugar.
  • 5 add the warmed golden syrup and mix well.
  • 6 place 1 tbsp dollops on a greased cookie sheet and bake for about 8 minutes. allow to cool for a minute, then transfer to wire rack to cool the rest of the way.
