Gingersnaps

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • granulated sugar

Recipe

  • 1 mix together shortening, sugar, egg and molasses.
  • 2 mix together flour, salt and spices and add to shortening mixture.
  • 3 make into small balls and roll into granulated sugar.
  • 4 place on ungreased baking sheet and bake 8-10 minutes at 350.
